Logan's Pink Lemonade Birthday Party

We had Logan's birthday party last Saturday and it turned out so awesome! That girl made out like a bandit. Toys and clothes galore. She had a great time at her party, even though towards the end there she was deleriously tired from partying during naptime. Thank you to everyone that came, it made her day extra special.

And here are some of the pictures of the party:

Jordan & Sydnee. They helped me set up - kind of :)

I have to give Marcy some serious props, she is amazing for making these wonderful cupcakes & helping plan the party!

They are strawberry lemonade cupcakes, that's why there is a straw! Cute, huh?

Lemon suckers!

I love love love the detail of these cupcakes!

Strawberry rock candy.

Strawberry Lemonade :) 'Mmm!

Two.. Really??

I seriously cannot believe how fast time flies. I feel like I just got cheated out of having a baby because suddenly, Logan is a toddler! How the heck did that happen? She is going to be two years old on the 21st of this month. And that is totally ridiculous to me! Where did my little bald headed, always sleeping, sweet baby go? Ugh!

Her birthday party is going to be pink lemonade themed so we had a lemonade themed photo shoot. Justin and his dad built a totally adorable lemonade stand for a prop.

I may be biased but, I think she's pretty dang cute! And she knows it too. She uses those big blue eyes to her advantage. Anyway, here are some images from her session :)

If anyone is interested in learning how to make this lemonade stand, let me know and I'll post the "how to" pictures!

4th of July

We went over to Justin's dad's for the holiday weekend. We headed over on Saturday afternoon and it was really hot! We went to two parties, one on Saturday and one on Sunday, both at the same place! Then on Monday we went to the firework show in Cle Elum, which was insane. There was some kind of problem and it caused a few of them to shoot an blow up in the crowd! Thankfully we were sitting in the back of a truck that was parked pretty far away! It was pretty scary.

I used to really love fireworks before I was a mom, now not so much. I mean, they are pretty but I'm always worried that something bad will happen. I haven't lit any off in four years! Well okay, sparklers, but thats about it! I leave all the big stuff to other people.

Anyway, here are a few pictures of the girls before the fireworks started. I wish I would have brought my tripod to get some good shots of the fireworks. I got some okay ones, but I know they would be way better if I use my tripod so I could leave the shutter open for longer. Eh, there's always next year.

Playing at their grandpa's pond on the 4th of July.

Poor girl. If you look closely, you can see her black eye & fat lip. The black eye was from falling out of the truck because she was messing around with a dvd player in the driveway at grandma's house a week ago. And the fat lip was from wrestling with her dad and hitting her mouth on the headboard the day before this picture! She hit it so hard that it pushed her two front teeth inwards far enough for her to not be able to bite her teeth together. I pulled them forward and back into place the same day and they seem to be fine now. That girl has the worst luck!

Its kind of a crappy picture, but I thought it was funny!

Haha look at her face!

Hank. Ready to pounce on Chopper!

The Newest Member of Our Family

This is Hank, our new puppy. He's a nine week old purebred Gordon Setter. He was the runt of the litter and definitely acts like it! He is such a little firecracker, I'm sure he will be a fantastic hunting dog for Justin.

The girls just love him! In the morning to wake Jordan up, I put Hank in her bed and he just attacks her with crazy kisses all over her face. Logan likes it when he chases her around then she runs and jumps onto the couch where he cant get her and she thinks it's hilarous!

Chopper, our miniature pinscher/chihuhua, did not like Hank at first. He wouldn't go near him and wouldn't even come to me when I called him. It was like he was mad at us for a couple of days. He has finally started warming up to Hank though. In fact, as I'm writing this, they are both laying down and Hank is resting his head on Chopper! They'll be the best of friends in no time! Hopefully.

Well that's all I've got for now! Its late and I need to finish packing our bags for Easton in the morning! Have a safe & Happy 4th of July!
