A Peaceful Moment

The house is clean and quiet, the kids are sleeping and the hubby is at a softball tournament. Ahh bliss! I feel like moments like this are so rare lately! I quit letting Jordan take naps about two months ago becuase she would nap for three hours then when bedtime rolled around at 8pm, she'd stay up until 11 playing in bed! But today, she begged me to let her take a nap so I let her. I think she must be hitting a growth spurt because she has been extra tired (and moody, for that matter) lately!

Anyway, I just wanted to get on here to post some pictures I took of the girls a few weeks ago. We went over to Lake Tapps on a very chilly but sunny day to play down by the water. We even brought some bread to feed the ducks, but there weren't any. I forgot that they fly south for the winter - Duh! Oh well, at least they had a great time throwing rocks in the water.

I really wish I could have gotten some of just Jordan by herself, maybe next time. Hopefully.

Joys of Motherhood (& Sisterhood)

Staying up late tonight, taking care of sick kids & a teenager who had her wisdom teeth out today. Fun fun! Both kids have the flu and Jordan has pneumonia to top it off. So here's to fevers, kleenex, ibuprofen, and mushy food!

Here's how my day went:

Wake up, dose the kids up on medicine.

Take the sister to the oral surgeon, who was running 2 hours behind. We would have just rescheduled but her insurance runs out TODAY. :(

Took lots of HILARIOUS videos of Taylor crying (yes, literally) about how she missed her teeth, crying about wanting a cookie dough shake, telling me that we were on our way to the moon - in our moonboots, and that there are furry animals in the recycling bin. & Had to walk around Walmart with her while waiting for her prescription. She looked like a zombie, blood drool and walking all stiff.

Came home, put Taylor to bed.

Start dinner/got vomitted on by Logan - lucky me.

Justin gives Logan a bath & we laugh at Jordan for falling into the tub with all of her clothes on.

Snuggle with Logan while Justin ate dinner, then trade off. I ate dinner and she fell asleep on him and Jordan falls asleep on my lap. This is all between 6:30 and 7.

Finally a shower for me.

Then Taylor wakes up and is in pain/starving.

Just when Taylor falls back asleep the kids start crying. Logan's coughing and dry heaving while Jordan says she has a tummy ache.

Soothe the girls and get them back in bed.

So that's what I've been dealing with today. And now I'm blogging. What a long day its been. I'm just thankfull its over! Hopefully most of us will be able to get some sleep tonight, yet I kind of doubt it since now Logan is crying!

That's all for now!

Fishy Crackers

We took the girls to the aquarium last week, it was great! I am loving that Logan is really starting to understand things now, it makes it really fun to go places like that. And Jordan, oh man. She L-O-V-E-D it!

They especially loved the "Life on the Edge" exhibit. It's the tidepools, where the sea cucumbers, anemones and starfish live! You get to TOUCH them! The girls loved feeling the textures of all the different things. Jordan, of course, wanted to take a starfish home she said,"Mom, lets take that little one and put it in my jewelery box!" Maybe she thought she would wear it as an earing? Or maybe a necklace? Who knows! I had to explain to her that you can't take these starfish out of the water becuase they would die. Then her eyes lit up! "I know where we could keep her! In the bathtub or the sink would be perfect!!" Maybe we should get her a goldfish?

Some of you already know, but Logan's favorite sign is "fishy cracker" So the whole time we where there, she was yelling,"Fishy!" and signing it to everyone that she saw. She loved getting to see Nemo there. So I got a great shot of the clownfish to put in her scrapbook!

All in all, it was a great day. It wasn't terribly crowded either!

I only wish I could have gotten more pictures of the kids, but just my luck, they hate having their picture taken. Yep. Me, the photographer, can't get hardly any pictures of my own kids! And that really grinds my gears! (Haha!)
My sweet girl! Isn't she getting so big! She's wearing her favorite Justin Beiber shirt. Lol.

Love this one. You know what's funny? I have a picture like this of Justin and Jordan when she was that age too. Its so weird looking at them side by side!

This is from the HUGE glass wall when you first walk in to see the fish!

Jellyfish! Every time I see them, I remember how Jordan used to ask me for a "peanutbutter & jellyfish sammich" for lunch all the time!

I loved the saltwater tanks the most. Saltwater fish are so pretty!

Nemo!!

Busy. Busy. Busy.

The holidays are FINALLY over! Whew! Seems like this season was extra busy for us. Christmas we had 4 places to be in 2 days! What a whilrwind that was! We woke up on christmas eve at our house and since we had lots of places to be, Santa came early. Then we went over to my mom's, and after that, to my dad's. We had Christmas morning at Justin's mom's and then headed over the pass to Justin's dad's. It was fun, rushed, but fun! I wish that there was an easier way to do Christmas, but I just dont see how there would be. The day after Christmas, Justin left for a few days to go hunting but the girls and I stayed at his dads house for a few days.

Here's a funny story; while Justin was gone hunting, we took out our XTerra to go 4 wheelin' in a couple of feet of snow and got stuck. Like really stuck. We were driving on ice over a huge mud pit, the ice was like 3 inches thick! So here we are, driving super slow. Had it in 4Low and everything. and BAM! The passenger side breaks through the ice and goes like 2 feet into the mud hole. So scary! We managed to get it part way out and then BAM! The other side broke through the ice, we were in all the way to the bumper. We had to have Dave, my father-in-law, come pull us out with his truck. It took like 15 minutes of him pulling us with a chain to get out, but we finally made it. I can honestly say that I'm never taking one of our vehicles 4 wheelin' again, well, without Justin being the driver, anyway.

New years, we went back to Easton. Hung out at the saloon for dinner, went back to the house and tried the jello shots that I made. Whipped cream vodka & strawberry jello! I was surprised they turned out so good since I've never made them before.

Jordan's 4th birthday was on Friday, but we had the party yesterday, Saturday. We rented a banquet room at Round Table Pizza and had a zebra & hot pink theme'd party. It was SO fun. That girl is S-P-O-I-L-E-D!

Well, that's it for now, I better get back to editing pictures from a photoshoot earlier today! I'll post some later of Christmas and Jordan's party later!
